Businessman rescued by FSARS from kidnappers in Rivers State Capital

Federal Special Anti Robbery Squads (F-SARS)  in Cross River state has rescued a kidnap victim that goes by the name Ikechukwu Obi, a businessman in Calabar, the State capital of Cross River.

 The victim was kidnapped by a gang of five young men on November 16, 2018, and taken to Ikot Asuquo Edem in Akpabuyo Local Government Area of Cross River state.

The F-SARS Commander, Mr Victor James Usang, said that the command had intensively scoped the area on Saturday, November 17 and Tuesday, November 20, after 264 hours of intensive search the victim was rescued and reunited with his family.
 He said the men that kidnapped the man were apprehend, with the exception of one of their member,  Ekpo Eyo Ekpo, 30 who had arrested at Ikot Asuquo Edem where the victim was held hostage by local police.
He said the man’s vehicle had also been recovered. A victim is a businessman he sells vehicle tyres and his shop is facing MCC by Mobil filling station in Calabar Municipal area of the state.” Commander Usang also told our correspondent that another kidnapping took place this night (Tuesday) in Calabar South Local Government Area of the state.
